There is more to the morphology of <i>-š/ -iš</i>

Abstract There are two comparative suffixes in Ukrainian: the productive -iš , and non-productive -š . Following Caha et al. (2019) I show that just like Czech, distribution of these Ukrainian is regulated not by phonology, but morphosyntax. The theory Nanosyntax ( Starke 2009 ) used order to account for data. meaning represented syntax one functional heads. To be more precise, propose decomposed into morphemes -i where spells out lower head higher one. issue suppletive adjectives discussed as well. argue suppletion can accounted using nanosyntactic concept pointers.
